Our Founder
Meráki by Mia was inspired by the personal journey of our founder, whose passion for skincare began as a quest to heal her own skin. Struggling with eczema, she sought to understand the underlying causes of her skin’s challenges, which led her to research the ingredients in skincare products and discover the truth about the harsh chemicals commonly found in them. This new world of knowledge inspired her to pursue studies in health sciences and to explore the often-overlooked impact of conventional skincare ingredients. Even in high school, she was dedicated to uncovering the science of skincare, and she began experimenting in her own kitchen, crafting products that aligned with her commitment to natural, effective solutions.
Her passion for creating truly nourishing skincare deepened during her time working in research and development and quality control labs with a leading Australian skincare manufacturer. There, she decided to act upon her calling—not just to create products that feel good, but to develop skincare that deepens our connection to self, through ritual.
